All,
I have upgraded to a new 2024 Mac desktop computer with MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 operating system. I have an older Canon Pixma MG3620 printer/scanner..... It worked beautifully with my old Mac (High Sierra 10.something).... but I can't get the scanner device to operate now. I went to the Scanner Driver section of Canon's website and downloaded the latest version for the Printer/Scanner driver update. But it still won't work--I get the message "Failed to open a connection to the device (-21345)." What gives folks? --JimCasey

Hello Rick!
Whoever you are, you truly are an Illuminary!! Your one little Reply to my desperate message has saved me so much frustration and anxiety (not to mention money!) I followed your link and downloaded your ICA Driver for MAC OS 15 and installed it--it worked PERFECTLY! I didn't even have to restart the Mac! What a Godsend! Thank you so much for reaching out and providing me with a solution that works! If you don't already work for Canon or Apple or Adobe, you should!! Genius Bar kids, take note!
I was so sure I would have to buy a new Canon printer for about $70 or more! I just spent a small fortune on buying my new Mac with accessories--I can't afford much more! I love my little Canon powerhouse IJ printer/scanner! I scan a lot of B&W documents for emailing business purposes, so now I am back in business! Rick, thank you again, very much! You are great--a true Gem among Gemstones!
Sincerely, Jim Casey, Chicago, IL

Thank you both! After 45 min of scouring for conversion to 32 bit for MAC I found the response from Shadowsport. 30 sec --done and done. Why doesn't Canon use the words 32 bit somewhere? Who the heck knows what an ICA Driver is? Thanks you Jim and Rick!!!

Will this work with my Pixma MG6150 as well. I have exactly the same problem as described by JimCasey and the Canon Support team tells me that there is no solution and that i should buy a new printer:-(
Where is this driver coming from? Is there an official download page?
