My pictures are overexposed in sports, and all scene modes how do I set correctly?

I have a Canon SD 970 IS. When I try to take a picture it tells me the card is locked.

My Canon SD 970 IS is telling me my card is locked and I can't take pictures. The battery is fine, there's plenty of room on the card. Can someone please tell me how to fix this.
