ImageRunner C2550 - Printing very faded after printer reset

Hello, i recently purchased this the canon imagerunner C2550. the printer was working fine but seems the black drum needed to be changed. I did a reset for the whole printer, after the reset the image is very faint, it looks like the density is turned down very low but changing the density doesn't seem to change it, i went into service 1 menu and it shows the black density at -76%  yes that's negative, while the rest of the colors are around 15%. Can't seem to change them or at least i don't know how to change them. I followed a video online but don't see the same options they do. Not sure if i need to update the printer after the reset but don't know how to do that either. Any help would really be appreciate it. here are some key things that may help whoever knows how to fix this:

 

1. The image is faint no matter what i'm printer, scanning or copying. it's the same all around

2. i don't undersand the best place to change density, that may be all i need. 

3. images attached that might help, also added an image of how it's supposed to look

4. toner save is OFF

thank you but i'm not intersted in that as i don't have the money to fix it right now. If i can't repair it with help from folks in this forum, i'll be throwing it.
