Canon MF733C Washed Out Prints in Windows 10

I have 4 computers connected to my Canon MF733C. With Windows 7 print quality has been good to great, but after recently upgrading two of the computers to Windows 10 Professional, print quality is now washed out when printing from Windows 10. Any one have and ideas why print quality from Windows 10 Pro is washed out, when print quality from Windows 7 continues to be great. Sounds like a Print Driver issue in Windows 10.

Hi GrayWolf.

When upgrading to a new version of an operating system, printers will often be reset to the default preinstalled drivers.  Additionally, drivers provided by a manufacturer (in this case, Canon,) may become corrupted or otherwise problematic.

Try:

  1. Removing the printer from the Printers & Scanners list, then...

  2. Remove the installed Canon drivers (from the Apps & Features list), followed by...

  3. Restarting the computer (to clear legacy settings from the problematic installation), and then...

  4. Reinstalling only once the computer has restarted.
