I am having some issues with a MF216N printer. It is connected via USB to a Windows 11 desktop and will scan just fine. However when I attempt to scan something and select computer it displays "Connect the Computer". I did notice under the printer it says "Driver is Unavailable".
Things I have tried:
1) I have manually downloaded the latest driver UFR II/UFRII LT V4 Printer Driver V7.1.2 from
and installed it through the wizard, but the error persists. The driver listed under printer properties is Canon UFR II B/W Class Driver.
2) Using a different USB cable and USB port
3) Removing and Adding the printer again

I'm in the same boat with the same printer, except I'm going via the network. Any success on your side?

Hello,
It looks like we do ot have an installer for the scanner driver for Windows 11 on the site and the MF216N has been retired. In this situation, you can try selecting Windows 10 from our support site when you are at the driver's page and you can try downloading [Windows 32bit] imageCLASS MF217w/MF216n/MF212w MFDrivers (UFR II / FAX / ScanGear) from the list.
