SELPHY CP1500 Shuts Down After Starting Up

jsolserejo

I just received the Canon SELPHY SP1500 and while during the setup it shut down. Now every time I start it, it shuts down after 2-5 seconds.

I can't find any material on the issue. Can you help me find a solution?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Greetings,

Is "just received" brand new or new to you?

If new, contact Canon or the reseller.

If you are running on its battery, try reseating it.  If on AC power,  I'd contact Canon or consider a return or exchange.

Same problem.

Brand new, made 1 print.

Didn't open the box until after the 30 day return date.

AC power.

Other people seem to be having the same problem and say Canon wants to charge shipping to return it.

Disappointing.

I'm having the same problem after 1 photo print. I'm using AC power, tried different outlets, don't have the battery.

Hi,

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
