I own several Canon DSLRs and all are set to use the back focus only when focusing. In other words, the shutter release is not used for focusing, just the back focus button. How can I set the 6D II this way?

Distance from end of lens to subject

Is there an easy way to see the distance in feet when reviewing pics. I’d like to know how far away the subject was. A friend’s Nikon has it as part of metadata but I’m not seeing it in the Canon metadata
