Any way to get the MX922 to print with pigment black only?

I have a printing need that requires water-proof or at least water-resistant print quality. I've tried the "Grayscale Printing" option, but it still uses the water-soluble CMY dye-based to some extent. They bleed when the printed object gets wet.    

How to scan with pixma mg2520 with Linux Mint?

There's plenty of instructions of how to do so using Windows and OS but not for Linux Mint? There is no IJ Scan Utility to open for Linux Mint
