MG6120 text prints every other line - nozzle check PGBK missing bottom half

MG6120 prints photos fine....any text based document is missing lines of text....printer is 2+ yrs old running Windows 7...Help Plz....

why does my printer spooler service keep turnung off

a lot of times when I go to print something, I get the message that the print spooler service is not running.  Lateley when I go to the screen where I click on restart it then an error msg comes up
