PIXMA MG3620 cant get to scan

I have a mac running sequioa 15.3.2 , a canon pixma m3600.  will not scan for some reason.. keeps giving errors 9,244,3 Im the only user on network. the router prinrter and computer all within 16’ of each other.  why this happening?

PIXMA TS5320 says Canon PG-260 Black is not compatible

Just what it says.  Even though the ink brand is Canon.  And even though the printer says this is the ink for this printer, it says it's not compatible when inserting it.  How to troubleshoot?
