canon selphy cp400

My Windows 8 computer is not recognizing my canon selphy cp400.  I had no problem installing it originally then all of a sudden it stoped working and now when I try to reinstall it say to check my cable, make sure the printer is on...  Help

I love my reliable canon340. However, it has developed lines. I have done all the prescribed fixes

Cleaned the glass, changed the ink used a credit card to clean the glass etc etc.  One line came out.The other did not.

Pixma MP530

My Pixma MP530 generated an error message that said to shut the printer off, then turn it back on, but now it won't power up.  The message also said if it wouldn't power up I should refer to the manual, but didn't say where.  Any suggestions?
