If the print heads are clean and aligned, why would the print fade with no streaking or lines every couple of lines and then return to normal?

only partial page is printing and only in green. have cleaned and downloaded latest driver.

Error Message

I have a PIXMA MX410 multifunction printer/copier/fax.  The ADF will not work.  Error message is "Cannot scan from ADF"  The copy, black AND color lights are lit on the panel.  HELP!
