my less than year old canon MG 5422 printer will not print the cyan colr and I have 2 new cartridges

I have an MX340 and I recently have not been able to copy

I have MAC OS 10.6.8.  The machines seems to do everything right but I get blank pages.  I can still print.  Is it possible I have a bad scanner?
