Vertical Black Line on Canon MG3000 Series Scanner HELP!!!!

I still haven't received a response or able to troubleshoot this issue since 10/11/2020.  

  I am trying to digitize some letter size documents but I keep getting a black thick block vertical perfectly lline always at the edge/end cutting off my document (SEE PICTURE BELOW).  Is there anyway to correct this?

After my original request which was submitted two years ago, I still have not able to find a solution other than bought a HP all-in-one printer.   I guess I'll start purchasing HP instead of Canon for my scanning/printing needs since I lost faith in them.
