When I try to print something, it makes a lot of noise as it is trying to get paper, but it does not find the paper. Then a message pops on my computer saying it is out of paper. I have tried adding more paper, taking out some paper, only having one piece of paper, and unloading and reloading the paper. The first couple of times I used it, it worked as it should. Now, to get the paper to feed through, I have to hold the paper just right, and sometimes as I'm doing it, it takes several sheets of paper. What can I do to make it work correctly again? As I've tried searching for a solution, I have not found anyone else that has had this problem, so maybe it is an error on my part, but I can't figure it out.

Hi,
I would recommend a roller cleaning to try and resolve the issue. Please click HERE for the steps.
Once the cleaning is done try to print again but if the issue persists the printer would require service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
