I have had my printer around 4 years, and now all of a sudden, I am not able to use the lower tray to print. It only lets my use the rear feed, which I don't want to do. I have the TR8520 printer. I can't seem to get it to default back to the lower tray.

Gretings,
There are 2 places to control paper type selection on the TR8520.
On the printer - Register a paper type:
Canon Knowledge Base - Paper Settings - TR8520
Or
In the Printers Driver, typically referred to as a profile. This allows you to make on the fly changes depending on what you are printing. You can also set a default paper type to always use the same source if you wish.
