A couple days ago I had some color issues on photos. So I did a Nozzle Check. It came back with black and yellow perfect, blue was fair and magenta was fairly bad. So I did a standard clean. Another Nozzle Check and then magenta was completely missing and blue was bad. Another clean and no blue or magenta. Deep clean and check and only have black. Let it sit for over 24 hours and another nozzle check. Back to black good, blue very poor on top and bottom bars. Magenta some issues on top bar and good on bottom bar. Yellow is good all the way.
Is there something else I should (or could) be doing? Do I just keep doing deep cleaning every day?

Hi JaciS! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that the print head nozzles for your Canon PIXMA G6020 are clogged.
I see that you tried the Cleaning option several times and the nozzle check pattern got worse over each attempt. If the first cleaning does not help, we recommend doing three Deep Cleans. It is best to wait at least 6 hours, but no more than 24 hours between each Deep Clean attempt.
The reason we ask customers to wait is to allow the fresh ink to soak through the clog like Drano. If you do the cleanings consecutively, the ink does not have time to soak. If you wait longer than 24 hours, you are giving the ink time to dry up again.
If the nozzle check pattern is still not printing properly after the third Deep Clean, you can try an Ink Flush as a last resort. To do the Ink Flush, the tanks must be at least half full. You will be asked to make sure the inks are full, but half full Is okay.
You will find the Ink Flush option in the same Maintenance menu as the Cleaning and Deep Cleaning. After selecting the Ink Flush, you will see three options: Black, Color, and All Colors (which will include black). If there is no issue with the black ink, you can choose the Color option (not All Colors). If there is an issue with one or more of the colors and the black, you can choose the All Colors option. The ink flush will take between 6 and 8 minutes.
If the issue persists after an ink flush, I recommend contacting Canon support. If you have not done so, please create a My Canon account and register the printer so you can contact support via chat or phone. If you have already registered your printer, you can sign into your account to check your support options.
Please use the following link to create or open your account:

After you create your account and register the printer, you can click on SERVICE & SUPPORT (in the left column). Then, click on the red box that says GET SERVICE & SUPPORT (on the right side of the page) to find information on the phone and chat support options.
If the printer is no longer in warranty, it may be more cost effective to purchase a replacement. Through our Canon Upgrade Program, we can offer you a discount and free shipping on a new printer if the warranty is expired. If you are interested in that, please call (866) 443-8002 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. (Eastern Time), Monday through Friday to speak with one of our sales agents who would be happy to help you.
I hope this information helps. Thanks for choosing Canon.
