MF443DW prints 4 pages after every restart

I have a MF443dw that keeps printing 4 pages after every restart, the first page has the following message as seen in the picture below and the other 3 are blank. I have tried a factory reset and multiple driver reinstalls but the issue persists. I also deleted everything from C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS. The printer was connected through wifi to another pc, i cleaned the print queue from that one too but it shouldnt affect if after the factory reset since i didnt connect it to wifi after. I checked the print job list on the printer and it is empty.

Greetings,

The MF443Cdw does not appear to be a printer model sold in the United States.

Are you able to print and scan?

What version and build of Windows are you using the printer with?

This behavior is likely related to the print driver or printer configuration.  Is this a new behavior or has it always done this?

Clearing the prince spooler is one correct step for troubleshooting.

Please tell us what drivers you installed.  We need to know exactly which they were.

Also, please describe your network environment.  Brand and model of your router and its configuration.  Router, mesh network, etc.  Please provide as much detail as possible.

This problem is not specific to your model or even Canon printers; rather, it is due to Win 11 24H2's network protocol.  I observed it on my MF465 a few months ago and drove me nuts.  Unfortunately, I don't remember how it was solved eventually, but start with the usual steps of updating Windows and reinstalling the drivers, etc. Good luck!

Hello, thanks for your reply
First of all i'm not from the USA, i'm from europe, i wrote here because i get access denied when trying to access the EU forums

Are you able to print and scan?
Yes, i am able to print and scan, the printer functionality remains unchanged, the only thing is that it prints those 4 pages every time i turn it on.

What version and build of Windows are you using the printer with?
My windows build is win 10 22H2, the latest version

Is this a new behavior or has it always done this?
It has started doing it about 2 weeks ago

Clearing the prince spooler is one correct step for troubleshooting.
I already did this, nothing has changed

Please tell us what drivers you installed.
The latest UFR 2 driver found here https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer/products/printers/i-sensys/mf-series/i-sensys-mf443dw....)

The network is a vodafone modem/router from the internet provided, after the factory reset i didnt connect the printer to the internet anymore

Thanks for your reply,

It's also driving me nuts, i'm on the latest version of windows and i already tried clearing the spooler, reinstalling the drivers and a factory reset nothing helped.

I am also searching for a solution. The printer is connected to PC with a USB cable. We are using Windows 10. we also have this problem with other printers(ex: Canon i-SENSYS MF264dw) with same setup USB + windows 10.
Tried to reinstall the divers and update windows to latest but the problem still occurs

Greetings,

@ggbear

Please start your own topic.

You are posting to another user's thread and you have a different model printer and likely a different operating environment.  Thank you in advance.

I am having the same issue and clearing the print spooler is not helping. Hoping for a solution!

@Bazza045 and others,

Can you please start your own topic.  It's difficult to provide support and solutions when multiple users post to a single topic.

This is because:

Different printer models

Different operating systems version and build

Different connection methods

Different systems and network hardware

You also cannot mark a post as solved unless it's your own topic.  This also makes it easier for others who are searching for solutions. This is not directed at you, I'm merely pointing out why it's important and helpful not to hi-jack another user's post.  This is good ediqiette and ensures consistency.  😀

Everyone here is looking for help and answers.  Please help us by starting your own topic.

Please include a meaningful title, the model of your Canon product, the issue you are experiencing (describe with as much detail as possible), the connection method, troubleshooting steps performed, and any observations or details which may help us understand the challenge you are facing more clearly.

Everyone's issue or question deserves its own topic to receive help and user to user support.

Thank you in advance for understanding 😉
