I have same configuration and 3.19 installed OK.

Verify that Universalinstaller has full disk access in the Privacy panel.

Maybe try uninstalling any previous versions of EOSU.

Thanks for you response.  I was finally able to get EUM3.19.0-installer.app and EU-installet-M3.19.0.12.dmg into the "full access" list.  However, I get the same error message.  In have all my files in the cloud and have placed the above on my MacBook hard drive with the same resulting error.

I suggest you contact Canon support at 1-800-OK-CANON.

I had the same issue and I've worked it out. Here's how:

  1. Create another admin account in your macOS, and log into that new account.
  2. You should be able to download and install the newest version of EOS utility 3.
  3. Log out then log into your primary admin account. Delete the newly-created admin account in system preferences.
  4. EOS utility 3 should work normally.

I encountered similar situations with previous version of EOS utility couple years ago. Someone posted this method online and it worked for me. This same method still works, but I wonder why Canon hasn't solved this already.
