I am having trouble setting up the Wi-Fi on my 6D

I have re-created a nickname but then when I try to enter the hex code I get stuck, it tells me it is the wrong code and it seem I should be getting this from my computer (Windows 10) but nothing comes up what am I doing wrong?

I have had a long standing problem with transfering photos from my 6D to my computer, I have tried via wi_fi and USB I have tried just about every setting on the camera I can think of, I have check to see that I have the latest version of the utility...

I have just updated to Windows 8.1 and the utility has stopped working,  worked well via Wi-Fi before, Cannon 6D, I get the screen with the pairing message but it dosen't do anything
