have inherited canon299 speedlight.I want to play with it off camera.Please advise suitable pc.cable

580exii sudden full power flashes when set in ETTL at 1/3.

The day after a wedding (well over 1000 acceptable flashes) at a newborn got unwanted full power flashes with Speedlite set on ETTL and 1/3 power. Is the flash having a nervous breakdown?

EOS Rebel XTi DSLR. Even with nothing else attached... Occasionally use a Bower Auto Focus add-on flash, model SFD35C.

Old 430EX won't sync with 5Diii when used off camera, if shutter speed is over 200.

I am using a cowboy studio transmitter & receiver.  Manuals for the 430 & 5d both indicate highspeed sync will work with higher shutter speed.  430 is set to highspeed sync.

Continuous light on 600EX-RT?
