We use over 35 document scanners, most of which are Canon. Over the past two weeks, I have had two Canon scanners that stopped working about the same time because the scanning app, FlexiCapture Scanning Station, can not connect. Both scanners are ImageFormula DR-M260's. It appears to be a problem with the TWAIN/ISIS driver. FlexiCapture has both a thick and thin client for scanning, both just stopped being able to initialize the scanner. I was also not able to connect using Twacker, a TWAIN testing utility. I have tired using different USB cables plugged into different USB ports on the computer. I have tried different laptop computers. The two DR-M260's are in different departments on different floors. The only thing that I know has changed on the workstations is our regular Windows updates. We used many different Canon scanner models, from imageFormula P-215 to DR-X10C. Only the DR-M260's are experiencing this issue. I have tried turning off the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Windows service, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Canon TWAIN/ISIS driver from the Canon support site, and I have deleted the contains of the C:\users\yourName\AppData\Local\Temp directory before and after a reinstall of the drivers without any luck. Any help would be appreciated.
