Do you have this driver installed?

I uninstall and then reinstalled the mx472. I installed the updated software and updated drive from the canon web site. this was the first time I tried to scan since my Mac was updated toTahoe 26.1, could this be the problem?

I don't know. Should be compatible since there is a driver listed for Tahoe. Give Canon support a call.

I was printing and scanning fine with my TS7722 until Tahoe 26.1 but now the [Apple] Image Capture fails to "see" my printer. I tried re-installing all the software and then checked to try and update the firmware, but the "latest" firmware version is far below what the installer app shows as what is currently installed on the printer.

When trying to re-add the printer (on Wi-Fi) it does not show up as "Bonjour Multifunction" but only "Bonjour" and no matter what I try, I never get scanning function back.

Ok, my update... It's working now. After what seemed very fruitless and frustrating, and maybe time-wasting attempts via software and firmware updates, I deleted (for the 2nd or 3rd time) the printer, and plugged it in via USB. Then, it eventually got discovered during the Add Printer process in Settings, and everything worked. I even scanned a couple of images with Image Capture. Then, turned if off, unplugged the USB cable, and rebooted my Mini. In Settings, the printer, which I'd turned back on, initially appeared as Offline, but after a while, without making any changes in the printer's own settings, showed up as online, and was still seen by the Image Capture app. I have NO idea why this was required, or if any of those things I attempted by following instructions (which seemed to need updating for Tahoe) made a difference, but it's now working. Fingers crossed...
