when trying to print or scan from either laptop it says printer is offline. When trying to scan directly from printer is says to connect the computer. Tried reloading printer driver and scanner to my Mac OS 13. Still says offline. Of course tried rebooting everything. Printer software on Mac still retains the jobs that never printed and still says offline. Is the printer just totally useless now and must be replaced? Tried resetting printer according to AI instructions, that did nothing. Didn't seem to work as described.

I'm using a USB connection, printer doesn't work on Wi-Fi. I will try a new printer cord just in case. Ordered one and waiting for it to arrive. I thought I removed the printer completely and reinstalled, but I don't think it was fully removed. The icon was still there and when I tried printing again the icon showed up showing the old print job still pending. What make me think that it's the printer itself somehow is that our other computer which is a PC doesn't connect any more either. Can the printer itself have corrupted software that's part of the printer? I tried to reset it but nothing changed, and it booted up really quickly after being turned off, making me think that nothing was really being reset.
