Unfortunately, I have not yet managed to send a scan to my email provider GMX.de.
I had originally set my settings as follows:
Server: mail.gmx.net
Port: 587
Encryption: STARTTLS
The connection test could not be performed directly but only after a previous login and logout process.
However, it is not possible to send an email. I always receive the error message E0001 or E0002.

Greetings,
A quick search provides the following information.
To set up GMX SMTP settings, you can use the following information:
Server address: smtp.gmx.com or mail.gmx.com
Username: Your GMX email address
Password: Your GMX password
Port number: 25 for no TLS/SSL, 465 for SSL, or 587 for TLS
Authentication: Required
The scanner does not support modern authentication. You'll need to identify the correct SMTP settings for your preferred mail provider. This includes enabling POP or IMAP on the mailbox. Confirming the provider allows SMTP relay and /or using an app password if applicable.

Hello Rick,
Thanks for the quick reply, but I wouldn't want to send passwords unencrypted through the network these days, so SMTP via port 25 is out.
I am now a little confused about the status of the device, because TLS is offered in the menu and the oldest version that is still supported from GMX dates back to 2008!
With the best will in the world, I can't imagine that the device doesn't support the TLS 1.2 version with the latest firmware.
The device is still being sold today and is not supposed to meet any minimum security standards?
If this is really the case, then I have made a bad purchase.
Best regards
Christian
