I setup a Color imageCLASS MF753Cdw printer yesterday. While trying to configure the home screen buttons and tabs in the Remote UI, I ran into an issue. I moved the majority of the applications to the “Hide from Home Screen” area. Then, in the Application Library settings, created 3 custom scan buttons for the user. After saving that, I went back to the “Rearrange and Configure the Display Settings for Home Screen Buttons” area and I can no longer move or add apps. If I add an app or move an app and click “OK” to save the configuration, it will instantly revert back to the previous configuration. On top of this, we cannot get rid of the “Toner Delivery Settings” app. These issues persist when configuring on the printer directly. It was automatically moved to the home screen we setup and cannot be removed. We have other Color imageCLASS MF753Cdw printers and have not ran into this issue before despite creating similar custom buttons and configuring the home screens similarly. #MF753Cdw #home #screen #buttons #display #imageCLASS #color #printer

Greetings,
In this case, you might want to consider contacting support for assistance and validation. I'm not in a place where I can test this now on my MF656Cdw. These devices have dedicated memory allocated for the button and application library icon configuration. If you are hiding icons, I would think this would free up memory, but I haven't tried this. I also do not use Auto Toner Replenishment, so this is not something I could try and remove (then save).
Contact support for immediate assistance. MyCanon

Hi there,
We weren't utilizing the "Toner Delivery Settings" app. It just happened to be one of the apps we moved to the "Hide from Home Screen" area and strangely decided to stick after we added the custom scan buttons to the home screen.

Just ran into the same issue on a brand new printer.
Have you been able to fix this? Is a hard reset the only option?

Very frustrating. I did not find a solution to this issue. I personally didn't think it was worth reaching out to support, but if you do, I (and anyone else who stumbles across this) would appreciate the solution they propose.

Good morning,
I would encourage both of you to reach out to support. The printers have a 3-year warranty.
