Can anyone assist me with the settings for shooting with the R5C using a greenscreen background? I tried it, but when I got to post-production, I wasn't pleased with the results. I've had no trouble shooting with a greenscreen using my other cameras that don’t utilize C-Log.

Greetings NEWYORKGM,
Since using C-Log does provide more dynamic range for the image when shooting video, this may wash out a lot of the color, at least upfront when viewing the original video. It may require for you to adjust your colors to something more saturated with more contrast, similar to BT.709. Then to key out the green, followed by final color correction for the look you are wanting for your final video. You can test to see if not shooting in C-Log will provide you with the results you are wanting since you state that there were no troubles when shooting with none Log cameras.

Thanks for your reply. I will try to follow your suggestions. The last time I shot with it, i had issues during key out. Also, when I shoot with the R5C C-Log, I apply CinemaGamut_CanonLog3-to-CMT709_17_Ver.1.0.cube during post-production. Most times, it doesn't show the needed dynamic range. Maybe I am not using the correct exposure?

Greetings,
I don't shoot ads, but could you tell us what you aren't happily with exactly? Are you using zebras, waveform or false color to set / monitor exposure? For post, Premiere or Resolve. (Curious)?

Honest, maybe I am lazy and do not apply those. I got so used to my Mark 1V 5D and Mark11 IDX that I push and play. For R5C, it's all a different game. I wish Canon had made a camera that would remain user-friendly. Sir, I used FCPX for the post.
