Hello.
I know the XA10 is an old camcorder, but does anyone have any experience with it and might be able to tell me what the stock battery performance is like? It comes bundled with a Canon BP-808 Battery, but I am aware there are upgrades you can get, i.e. much larger batteries. However if anyone has any experience with that stock Canon BP-808 battery, and can tell me the kind of minutes I'm likely to get out of it on a XA10 (assuming I'm shooting at the top bitrate etc), it would be much appreciated!

Hi sukotgu2,
The expected amount of recording time you can get out of a fully charged BP-808 depends on things like the type of file you are recording and whether you are using the LCD or viewfinder. There are charts in the manual breaking down the expected record time and charging time when using the BP-808 in the XA10. The charts are on pages 177-178.
If you need a copy of the manual it is available HERE. Once you are on the web page click on the Manuals button and the one to reference is named XA10 Instruction Manual.
