I do not see where the link provided explains the difference in the inks?  Just how to refill cartriges and the difference in them.

"NO!!!! The PRO-9000 inks is different in composition and color output to the PRO-100 so you would have to 100% flush your EBAY carts to a pristine condition, then you would have to modify them for refilling."

Hi geek2150!

 

To clarify any kind of confusion, the *only* ink compatible with the PIXMA Pro-100 is the CLI-42. While the CLI-8 might physically fit into the Pro-100, the printer may not recognize the ink, and the results are not guaranteed.
