New owner... just learning the ropes. Does anyone know what the preferred procedure is in terms of powering off? I'm concerned that turning it off means wasted ink etc, but I don't see this addressed in the manual.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

If you aren't connected via wifi set the auto power off option in the driver. Don't shutdown via power switch or by unplugging.
If if connected via wifi it will stay awake all the time listening for data.

Thanks "JR",
I'll check that. Funny because that's the behaviour I expected and yet when I went to use the printer it was off, despite being connected to wifi.

I have the Pro-100 connected via wifi.
The white power button light is on and the blue wifi light is on. Same as my MX-472 - green power button lit and blue wifi light on.

Just a followup in the event anyone else has this question... my printer did indeed power off completely. I found that in the menu under "Various Settings" there is one for auto off which I turned off. According to Canon, as I feared, power cycling primes the ink each time. Definately not something I want at 60 bucks a tank...
Thanks for the help!
