Pro-1000 Not Printing Landscape

macstrat

Hello, I have been trying to print a 4x6 in landscape mode but everythign i try comes out in portrait in landsape paper. Usually I load my paper in portrait and print, so i dont think i have ever noticed this issue until now.

what i have tried:
image in portrait and landscape in photoshop
image in portrait and landscape in PSP
image in portrait and landscape in windows print driver
every combination of the above.

PSP and the print driver show that the paper is in landscape

Paper is top feed Red River 88lb polar matte

How are you orienting the paper when you load the printer. Paper should be loaded in portrait orientation.

Welcome to the forum.

Select the paper orientation in the right hand red bubble and if image is off rotate image in left hand bubble.

You can find the PSP manual here:

Canon : Inkjet Manuals : Print Studio Pro : Print Studio Pro Guide

Just so you know, when you select PSP it takes over printing control so what you set in Ps or anything else doesn't matter.

yes, that does not work. even if it is set as landscape, it still prints the image in portraitCapture.JPG2021-05-05_20-16-42.jpg

Same result.

after looking at the printed images. it is scaling them properly, there is the correct amount of border at the top of the image, it just refuses to print it in landscape.

That worked! thank you! in the top loader of the printer the guides go down to 6" before they hit a stop that required a little force to get past (not the bad kind of forced! nothing broken!) so i was not aware that the paper could be loaded in portrait in the top loader, after getting past that catch, i was able to load it in and it printed fine. thank you!

Glad it worked out. You can download an onscreen manual from the Canon support site v
