Pro 10 Ink Carriage Won't Center

pjscott51

Hi, for some reason the ink carriage on my Pro 10 won't center or if it does center it's only for a few seconds.

Is there any way that I can manually center the carriage so I can change ink tanks?

Thanks,

Paul

Just a guess, but maybe try unplugging the printer and then hold in the power button. That might drain any captured charge.

I know that is what I need to do on my iMac when it doesn't respond to the power button.

That's a great idea but it didn't work. I have to unplug and hold the power on my pc.

Thanks and have a great day,

Once the printer leaves the parked location, you can cut power to the printer and manually move the carraige into position. But this might use more ink when you power it back up.

Hi PixelWorks,

If truning off the printer to change a ink tank then that's what I'll have to do.

I have about 12 new ink tanks and once I use these I"m going to purchase a Imageprograf pro-300.

Thanks for the help and have a great day.
