Could not find the server. Check the SMTP server settings and the DNS settings.
I have been assgined this task 2 days ago and i still cant figure it out I changed everything from stmp.google.com to the port to the dns nothing is working!
I changed the Ports and tried Port 25, 465, or 587
I changed DNS tried 8.8.8.8. 8.8.4.4 1.0.0.1 kept it at 0.0.0.0
and still keep getting the same issue
Could it be printer settings I missed?
do I need to enable something in the firewall?
my router does not have a DNS configuration enabled so I cant change that
WHAT DO I DO?

I had this issue on a Canon ir adv 527
Make sure to go to Network settings, IPv4 settings and setup the network addresses and DNS.
Here are the settings I used for Office 365.
Network Settings - E-Mail/I-Fax Settings
Check box SMTP RX
SMTP server: smtp.office365.com
email address of server: example @ example . com
Left all of POP blank
POP Interval: 0
SMTP TX: 589
POP RX: 110
Check box Allow TLS (SMTP TX)
Check box Use SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)
User Name: (email address used from above)
Enter the password for the email address
Check box Confirm TLS Certificatte for SMTP TX
Allow TLS (SMTP RX): Always TLS
AFTER ENTERING ALL THE CORRECT INFORMATION, RESTART THE PRINTER. I WASTED OVER AN HOUR WITH THE CORRECT SETTINGS, BUT KEPT GETTING THE ERROR. AFTER A RESTART OF THE PRINTER, IT WORKED.
