imageCLASS MF753Cdw loses network

Mf753cdw setup via wireless router. Loses network connection, but doesn't think it has.

Dhcp assigned IP @ .1.4 but the router doesn't list that device at all (when it isn't working) so ping, etc does not reach it.

The printer still shows status good with the .4 address. Restarting doesn't reconnect it.

I've factory reset the print device and reconfigured everything. It worked once.

First of all, is the DHCP-assigned address on the printer a valid one on your network? Its first three octets should be the same as the router's.example 192.168.1.xxxx. If they are, you should be able to ping it.

It is always better to give the printer a STATIC IP address. You do this on the printer's networking settings. It should be the same first three numbers as the router's. Fourth number is anything you want, from 2 to  255. The router is .1. It should NOT be what your computer has or any other network device. Then configure the router to reserve that address so it cannot be assigned by DHCP to anything else on your network. How you do this varies with different router brands/models.Consult your router manual, the supplier of the router, or manufacturer support.

When you let DHCP do the IP address assigning it can change unexpectedly, even when the printer is always on. And with WiFi, strange things can happen.

Of course, you should not use WiFi with the printer at all. Your computer has wired Ethernet. That is much more reliable than WiFi in any case.
