I bought a new laptop for my spouse for Xmas, a Dell XPS 13 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite CPU (ARM 64 bit architecture), Microsoft (MS) Windows 11. I am seeing error messages when I install the master setup file or try to run the MF scan utility. I downloaded the available files for Windows 11 from the USA Canon Product/Support site (download page). I am able to print using standard MS win 11 OS drivers (add printer, finds the MF753 and installs some MS driver - so good there. I have another new laptop running win 11, but a traditional Intel i7 CPU (x86 architecture) and all Canon software installs and runs as expected..
I really want to be able to simply scan from the Canon device to a folder on the PC. I have set this up on the old laptop that the new one is replacing (and the other Dell XPS with an Intel i7 CPU that is new). I suspect this is a compatibility problem of the Canon software/drivers NOT being able to run on the Qualcomm CPU (ARM architecture).
Canon - I need a compatible software/driver package for this new Qualcomm architecture (ARM). Other software vendors are supporting this!!
