Canon Printer MG5420 scanning photos, saving as jpeg.

I have a Canon MG5420 Printer.  When I scan a photo it goes into "Canon My Image Garden" and  the only option for saving is PDF.  I used to be able to save as a Jpeg, can someone help? Thanks,Marilyn
