TWAIN driver issues for Scanning

I have a Cannon ImageCLASS MF644Cdw that I am trying to get the TWAIN driver setup to work with another piece of software.  The scanner on the printer works, however, I need it to utilize the "twain" driver.  I see in the C:\Windows\twain_32\MF642C and C:\Windows\twain_32\MFSCN folders in there.  However there doesn't seem to be a way to change the driver or set it up for the scanner/scanning to use a twain driver.  

The printer is not networked, it is connected via USB to my laptop currently for testing purposes.
