- Purchased and installed the Canon imageCLASS D570, serial # YPNxxxxx, 1/17/25
- Identified my operating system: Windows 11 Pro; Version 24H2
- Successfully tested the printing feature and then ran into problems scanning.
- My Dell computer tells me "A scanner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install it and try again."
- I returned to browsing and asked about Windows 11/24H2 problems with the Canon scanner. I found that there was a "fix" issued: KB5048667, and it should have automatically uploaded among the Windows Updates.
- I returned to the Canon site and found a driver that is "recommended".
- I successfully downloaded the recommended driver ([windows 64 bit] imageCLASS D570 MF Drivers (UFR11/PCL/Scangear)).
- I printed a test page that says I have correctly installed the Canon D570 on my CPU.
- But, when I attempted to scan, the computer responded with "ScanGear MF: Cannot communicate with scanner."
- I tried the Canon #800/652-2666, but an automated voice put me on hold for 30 minutes before I disconnected.
- I have not found a Canon "Chat" feature that
