Scan Utility Doesn't Show New PIXMA TR8620a

I have 2 PIXMA 8620 printers. Just installed the 2nd one. Only the original one shows in the printer list in the Scan Utility. Also, my old MX922 still shows on the printer list of the Scan Utility. How do I just show the 2 8620's?

I just found you can select either 8620a printer from the last page in Settings of the Scan Utility. I'm good now.

Thanks for joining the conversation, scnfrq!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer models you're using.  We have two printer models with the number 8620 in their name, so please let us know if you have the PIXMA TR8620 or the PIXMA TR8620a or one of each. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Both are the 8620a models. Also a correction. Only the new 8620a shows in the Scan Utility, along with the obsolete MX922. The original 8620a does not show in the Scan Utility list of printers.

Does the computer list the two printers separately?

Yes they show separately. I renamed them to keep they easier to ID.Also, I'm now trying to delete the 920 drivers from Uninstall programs, and they won't delete since there are print jobs pending. I no longer have the MX922 to use.

Greetings ,

Open services.msc applet.  Bounce the print spooler service which should resolve any pending print jobs. Now try deleting the MX922 and uninstall any remnant drivers related to it.

I was able to delete the MX922 driver. So now in the Scan Utility list, 922 doesn't show anymore. But still, only the new 8620a printer is listed. How do I add the original 8620a to the Scan Utility list?
