I have upgraded to Windows 11 on a new laptop. I have a PIXMA MX450 and am trying to download a printer driver. Is this the same as the PIXMA 452 as I don't see MX450? I am a senior citizen and not that tech savvy so I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Hi ajm,
One thing is certain. Printers do not always port over correctly after an operating system upgrade. I suggest that you remove and fully uninstall the device (first), then restart and attempt to install the printer under windows 11 as John suggested using the MP drivers package available for W10.
The download for it is here:
If this doesn't work, you can take advantage of the upgrade program like the gents mentioned previously.

Hi, ajm. The PIXMA MX452 was retired in 2019. That means development and support are no longer available from Canon USA.
When we retire some products, their support documents are removed from the website.
Since your printer may not be supported on Windows 11, we recommend reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialists to review your options to get you into a more modern printer at a discount. That team is available by phone at 866-443-8002.

Yes. If you look at the Windows 10 download section for the Pixma MX452 the driver says MX450 series. The last digit generally refers to specific variations for different markets.
However, there is no W11 driver listed. Sometimes the W10 drivers will work; other times not.
If you download the W10 driver and it doesn't work you can look into the upgrade program Stephen mentioned.

THANKS & MUCH APPRECIATED shadowsports (Rick) for posting the download link for the MX450 series printer.!!!! It worked & solved my issue!! I just purchased a new Lenovo ideapad-3 Windows 11 and have spent 3-4 hrs looking for a driver download but to no avail! I stumbled onto the Canon forum. You restored my faith in humanity... Windows 10 drivers are very likely to work fine in Windows 11. The two operating systems are not that different under the hood. It seems to be a pervasive misconception that Windows 11 obsoletes printers and other devices whose "support" ended with Windows 10, or even Windows Vista, 7, and 8.
