New MAC running Sequoia 15 cannot find Pixma MX490 printer. Have validated printer is connected to local LAN on wifi (my windows computer has no issues finding it but then all the drivers and software packages are loaded on it. I have gone to cannon, downloaded and installed all 8 of the recommended packages (.pkg) but none of those put an icon on my desktop or anywhere else and when I click open they just go to reinstall again - cannot find a generalized exe file. to run past installation.

Also note on the cannon help site that any MAC running version greater than 13 the driver files are incompatible and won't necessarily work. DUH? so now what ? new printer?
