I have tried the following and they do not seem to work:
1) press the stop button and hold it until the status light flashes 21 times. At this point the printer is reset to factory defaults, however, I have used both options for (canon and the serial number) and neither one works as the admin password.
2) the initialize to factory defaults option in the desktop app, requires the admin password, so this does not work.
Any other options to either reset the admin password to factory defaults or preferably to backdoor and change the admin password?

I'm equally frustrated, as the one-pager for setup and installation doesn't provide a call out or directive for this. I searched online to factory reset, and also tried the serial number, but neither work and their customer support is closed.
I think I'll just box this thing back up and return it. What a pain in the ass! Get your $#!+ together, Cannon.
