Everything I try to scan from the printer onto the computer it prompts 'connect to computer' yet the printer itself is connected to my windows 10 pro computer. I cannot access MF scan utility because it claims that the driver is not installed. I have installed both the printer driver and the scanner driver on multiple attempts yet nothing has changed. I have been fighting with this scanner for over a month since it has arrived. There is nothing on the internet or even the canon website regarding the specific problem I seem to be having. I feel I have tried almost everything and am frustrated with how useless even the Setup guide that came with the printer completely ignored the setting up of the scanner portion of the printer. I just need this problem remedied.

Found the solution,,
First go to Google and search for the tallest bridge within driving distance of your location.. Second step,, drive to the bridge and throw the printer off.
If there is no bridge within a reasonable distance, you can try the baseball bat method. Either method will work if you value your time.
Sarc/off

Too funny and I totally understand. Mine says theirs a new firmware update available and weary of loading it. It works most of the time albeit temperamental at times as well.

I hate to say this, but I have always seen issues with printers/scanners connected by Wifi, every brand, and now I connect them only by Ethernet, using static IP's. Never a connection problem. I realize, however, that this may not be practical for everyone.

Hello,
The MF753Cdw can connect to your computer via network or via USB. The printer would connect with a standard A to B USB cable. To setup the MF753 with a USB connection, you can download an install the drivers using the steps in the link found HERE.
If you continue to have scanner issues or would like someone to walk you through the scanner setup, you can contact support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to help.

This is excrutiating to read the previous posts. I feel like am in the middle of the same issue. I have a canon mf753 that stopped connecting to scanner sometime after a firmware update that was performed that I noticed it. Operating system of Widows 11 updated yesterday after the first failure. I have tried to connect via ethernet and wifi both with the same problem. Then I deleted all programs, apps, drivers and tried to reload them, with no success. Then finally trying to reload the software on my desktop it now shows me the screen "Installation Failure". Help!!!

Strange. The scanner and my Win10 PC hasn’t had problems in many months. Does Win11 and this all-in-one have a bug? Absolutely. Took me multiple attempts of software installation and a firmware update or two to get this working smoothly.
I’m very concerned when it comes time to upgrade to a new Win11 PC. The baseball bat fix may be the answer.
