Hello,

Just got a new MAXIFY MB5420 and trying to install software and I keep getting stuck at this screen. It never times out or goes any further. Have tried several reboots on both laptop and printer. Using a Windows 10 Asus computer for laptop. Any help or suggestions?

Hi roady,

Sometimes there is an issue with the main installer.  Please try installing the drivers by themselves:

1.  Please click this link to go to the Support Page for your MB5420 (it will open in new window):

Canon Support for MAXIFY MB5420

2.  Click on Software & Drivers.

3. Choose "Windows" from the Operating System drop down and then "Windows 10" or from the Version drop down.

4. Click the Download button to the right of "Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver.1.03 (Windows)". Note: you may have to click the "Load More" button to locate this.

5. Once that file finishes, please open or run that file to begin the installation on your computer. If you have to search for the file first, the files name is: "m68n-win-mb5400-1_03-ea34_2.exe"

6. Follow the on screen prompts to install.
