I just purchased a second MF753Cdw for our second home. After changing the printer names to account for different IP addresses for each networked printer, the MF Scan functionality no longer works. Even though the MF Scan Utility recognizes the two printers and allows me to select one or the other MAC Address, the Utility no longer communicates with the selected printer. I reinstalled everything a couple times and verified the problem with and without the name change. This seems like a software bug. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I thought it would be easier to have 2 printers of the same model in 2 different locations (same drivers, etc.), but it appears to be impossible.
