Canon PIXMA MG3620 Won't connect Wirelessly to PC

I only purchased it as a scanner, and do not have it set up to print. It's been working for a few months, but sometimes it stops connecting to the wireless for no reason. Usually rebooting my PC, or the scanner will fix this. 

 

This time it won't and I don't know what to do.

 

I've rebooted my computer and tried multiple times to pair my scanner with the wireless, but it doesn't seem to be properly connecting to my PC.

 

I get the error "Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:

-scanner is turned off.

-If using LAN connection, it is disconnected from LAN

(etc, etc)

On the top of the scanner the Power button is lit (green), the wifi button is lit (blue) and the 8.5"x11" plain paper button is lit (green).

 

What do I need to do to get the scanner and computer connected again?

I have an MG3600 series and I am having the same problem. I have followed all the steps with both using the color button and black button to try and setup the wireless. When I do the network test it says Infastructure Enable, Connection Inacvtive, SSID BJNPSETUP, Channel Blank, Encryptyion none, WEP Key Length Inactive, Authentication open. PLease help this is super annoying I have already wasted 2 hours trying to set this up in 10 different ways.

I cannot get my new canon mg3620 to connect to my laptop.  I have printed out the network configuration page as was recommended in a previous question and this is what I have.  

Connection - inactive

SSID - BJNPSETUP     (I do not recognize this)

IP address is blank

The BJNPSETUP SSID indicates that the printer is ready to be connected to a wireless network, but has not done so yet.  The PIXMA MG3620 can be connected to a network a few different ways, so if one method is unsuccessful, another can be used.  I have included instructions for those methods HERE.

Discription:

When I just got my printer, it was able to connected to my devices smoothly. But after I moved it to a new spot in the same room, it loses the connection with all my devices. I've attempted countless times try to reconnect it with my tablet, PC, and iPhone but never succeed.

The problem:

The printer can be found by the software "Canon IJ Online Master Setup" by "press and hold signal button, then press black/colour button, then press signal button". It has the serial number and MAC address, but no IP address. If I click next step, it will say "the connection is complete" and the power button and signla button start to blinking at the same time.

I click "nect step" the installation suddenly stopped, the software start to searching for the printer on network. At this point, the alarm lamp lighted up without any blink, the signal button start to blinking twice a time.

If you go back to the old spot does it work?

I am positive it is not the main issue in my situation

So you are saying that the signal is now 0% and it doesn’t matter what position? 

 

Sounds like Ike something happened to your WiFi router?

It had 67% Signal strength on the same spot before

But now it’s zero at that same spot - am I understanding that correctly?
