ipF760 Large Format Printer- Horizontal Lines when using iPF Direct Print and Share

MatthewTownsend

Super weird! I have horizontal white lines appear on all jobs that are generated from imagePROGRAF Direct Print & Share (rendering the jobs to the Free Layout tool, where you can arrange and scale them prior to printing). This used to work very well!

I purchased and installed a new printhead.

I uninstalled the printer and all the associated software and then reinstalled the printer and associated software.

The white lines only appear from using imagePROGRAF Direct Print & Share. They don't appear if printing from Microsoft Word or Acrobat Reader directly to the printer.

I am a a loss!

Thanks so much for your help,

~Matt

I upgraded the firmware from 1.05 to 1.14 and things are looking pretty good! I don't know why, but we are doing much better. Thanks for the follow-up.

Hello Matt,

I understand you are experiencing poor print quality when using the imagePROGRAF Direct Print & Share with your imagePROGRAF iPF760.

Since the issue only occurs when using the imagePROGRAF Direct Print & Share, I recommend contacting us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) for further assistance.  We understand that the forum may be your preferred method of communication; however, speaking with our telephone technical support group will be very beneficial in this case.
