Cannon imageRUNNER 1025IF black lines on either side of the printed or copied page

I have a Cannon imageRunner IF and when either printing or copying, there are black lines on either edge of the page.  It does not matter if it is on the glass or through the feeder, copying or printing.  How can I get rid of it?
