MF753Cdw - possible to rename Custom 1 and Custom 2 in Scan settings?

I'm setting up this printer for the first time and running through the various settings. I was able to scan documents fine and customize the settings using the Canon MF Scan Utility.

However, I'd like to rename Custom 1 and Custom 2 to something more intuitive based on my custom settings (ex. Color Scan 2-sided). Is this possible?

Unfortunately, we do not have any settings in the MF scan utility that will let you change the name for custom 1 and 2 .

That has got to be the worst user 'feature' that we don't have access to.

Thanks for confirming. I would suggest adding this as a feature request. The very idea of a custom selection implies that it should be able to have an intuitive name. Thanks!

What about adding buttons to the printers screen for the functions you created and renaming them.

Same thing for printing. I have to jump through hoops to create a setting for an odd envelope. Why can't we add it to the list. besides that, we have to tell the printer to use what is in the multipurpose tray even though it detects when you open it.
