MF743cdw not printing until fax notification is cleared

tmaczura

A few times a day a Copy/Print job shows up on my printer and is preventing print jobs from proceeding until I clear the report from the printer.

You find the job by going into the Status Monitor > Copy/Print Job > Copy/Print Job Status > where you find a Report xx:xxAM/PM Waiting > when opening the report it  shows a Job Number : xxxx, Status : Waiting, Received Time : , Job Type : Report

I have to cancel the report prior to my print jobs printing. I have factory reset the printer and yet I'm still having the problem. I've updated to the latest firmware and looked through the settings.

Please Help!

Hello Maczura,

If a report sits in the queue, it will prevent other jobs form printing until it is gone. If this happens everytime you get a fax, it will usually mean that your fax reports are not printing. This can be caused by a paper size or type set that the printer can't use for the reports is set or the printer is low on toner.

If you are low on toner, you can set the printer to print when low on toner using the steps HERE. If you are not low on toner, you can check your paper settings to make sure the paper is set to letter or legal sized plain paper. The printer will not print fax reports on any other paper types.
